Microserve
September 26, 2025

Vancouver, BC – September 23, 2025 – Microserve, one of Canada’s leading IT solutions providers, has been officially recognized as a Leading Accessible Employer 2025 through its participation in the Pledge to Measure, a national initiative dedicated to benchmarking disability inclusion in Canadian workplaces. This recognition celebrated Microserve’s commitment to measure and improve disability inclusion across its workforce.

About the Pledge to Measure Program

PTM 2025 Leading Employer Badge scaled 1

The Pledge to Measure, now in its fifth year, is a national initiative designed to help employers track and improve disability inclusion practices. By collecting standardized data from organizations across Canada, the program provides critical insights into representation, leadership, and accessibility gaps, while encouraging employers to make measurable improvements.

26% of Microserve survey respondents identified as a person with a disability, which is the highest percentage found in medium-sized organizations.

In 2025, the program engaged 74 employers representing more than 95,000 employees nationwide. Among the findings:

  • 95,489 employees were surveyed across Canada
  • 670 senior leaders self-identified as having a disability
  • 11,590 employees self-identified as having a disability

This data-driven approach enables employers like Microserve to compare progress, identify areas for growth, and celebrate milestones in creating more inclusive workplaces.

Microserve’s Commitment to Accessibility

Participation in the Pledge to Measure reflects Microserve’s broader efforts to champion diversity, equity, and inclusion. The company has introduced:

  • Dedicated training programs to reduce unconscious bias
  • Accessible technology investments to support employees of all abilities
  • Policy updates and accommodations ensuring that employees with disabilities have the resources needed to succeed
  • Leadership accountability to ensure accessibility goals are tied to business outcomes

Building an Accessible Future

“Accessibility is foundational to our vision of an inclusive workplace,” said Heather Schaan, COO and President at Microserve. “The Pledge to Measure provides the data we need to hold ourselves accountable, and this recognition reflects our ongoing journey to make meaningful progress.”

National and Local Impact

Microserve’s recognition as a Leading Accessible Employer not only reflects its internal progress but also strengthens its role in Canada’s broader inclusion movement. This recognition also directly supported the company’s nomination as an Inclusive Champion at the 12th Annual Untapped Workplace Inclusion Awards
