Microserve Named Finalist in Both Company Categories at the 2026 CRN Women of the Year Awards

By Microserve

Recognition in Community Impact and Employer of the Year celebrates Microserve’s commitment to creating a workplace where people thrive while making a meaningful difference in the communities it serves

BURNABY, BC — September 15, 2026 — Microserve is proud to announce that it has been named a finalist in both company award categories at the 2026 CRN Women of the Year Awards: the Community Impact Award and Employer of the Year Award.

Presented by CRN, a brand of The Channel Company, the annual Women of the Year Awards recognize exceptional women, leaders, allies, and organizations whose leadership, innovation, advocacy, and commitment are helping shape the future of the IT channel.

Microserve’s recognition in both company categories reflects a philosophy that has long been central to the organization: business success is strongest when people and communities succeed alongside it.

The Community Impact Award recognizes organizations whose philanthropic efforts are helping create meaningful positive change. For Microserve, community impact is embedded in how the company operates. In 2025 alone, Microserve teammates contributed 2,479 volunteer hours, helped generate more than $210,300 in community impact, and supported 38 charities and not-for-profit organizations. The company also recycled more than 65 tonnes of electronic waste and helped donate more than 4,000 computers to schools and libraries.

The Employer of the Year Award, introduced by CRN for 2026, recognizes technology and channel organizations demonstrating excellence in workforce leadership through talent development, employee engagement, and workplace practices that strengthen both their people and the wider channel community. Microserve’s finalist recognition reflects its continued investment in creating an inclusive, supportive workplace where teammates have opportunities to grow, contribute, lead, and build meaningful careers.

“Being recognized in both company categories is incredibly meaningful because it reflects two things we believe should always go hand in hand: creating a workplace where people can thrive and using our success to strengthen the communities around us,” said **Heather Schaan, President and COO of Microserve**. “These finalist recognitions belong to our entire team. They reflect the care, energy, and commitment our teammates bring to one another, our customers, and our communities every day. We’re incredibly proud to see that impact recognized by CRN.”

The recognition continues a strong history for Microserve at the CRN Women of the Year Awards. In 2024, Microserve received the Gender Parity Award, recognizing the company’s efforts to advance representation, equity, professional development, and opportunities for women across the organization.

For 2026, finalists across the Women of the Year Awards were selected by a panel of judges from a pool of more than 300 applicants. Microserve has been named among the finalists in both of the program’s company categories, highlighting the breadth of its commitment to both its people and the communities it serves.

Winners will be announced and celebrated at the 2026 CRN Women of the Year Awards Gala on December 8, 2026, at Pier Sixty in New York City.
