Please join us in welcoming our new Vice President of Sales, Sylvain Jacob!
Sylvain Jacob joined the Microserve team in January, 2016 as a Senior Account Manager and transitioned into his new role as Vice President of Sales in May, 2016.
“Microserve is made up of extremely passionate and talented people throughout the entire company. I look forward to cultivating relationships with my colleagues as well as our customers and partners. We have the best team supported by the most extensive offerings in the market place to compete and serve our customers” says Sylvain Jacob. Sylvain comes to Microserve with over 30 years of sales and leadership experience.
Prior to Microserve, he spent 19 years with HP. He spent the last 4 of these years as a District Manager for Western Canada at Hewlett Packard (HP) Canada specializing in Printing and Personal Systems. At Microserve, Sylvain will be leading our sales team of 18 people.
Sylvain led his team at HP through complex pursuits and consistently grew the business year-over-year, leveraging the entire portfolio of the company. Part of his DNA is coaching and mentoring his team members to achieve their career aspirations.

He is an exceptionally positive and energetic person, as well as a very effective leader and business professional. He has set very ambitious goals for Microserve’s future and I’m excited to have him on our team” says Microserve President, Spud Matthews.
It’s not uncommon to hear Sylvain say he is in a “maximum state of happiness”. He brings with him a very positive and charismatic energy. With his optimistic outlook and proven track record in delivering results within the IT industry, everyone at Microserve is happy to have him on board.
In his spare time, you can find Sylvain in the outdoors maintaining an active lifestyle. His favourite activities include cycling, scuba diving, hiking and playing hockey. He has already impressed us by biking 45 km each way to and from his home to the Microserve office!
