Microserve is honoured to have been nominated in the category of Outstanding Workplace at the 40th Annual YWCA Metro Vancouver Women of Distinction Awards.
The YWCA criteria for the Outstanding Workplace category is an organization that supports the wellness and diverse needs of its employees by:
- Being a role model in best workplace practices by implementing an innovative initiative exclusively for employees
- Being progressive and responsive to employee needs, including work-life balance
- Being committed to equity, diversity and inclusion
- Supporting the advancement and success of women
- Fostering professional development and mentorship
- Supporting employee volunteerism and community initiatives
- Promoting healthy lifestyles
The YWCA Women of Distinction Awards began in 1984. Until that time, even though many women had made significant advancements in the workplace, few were publicly celebrated by the community. At this year’s fundraising gala, more than 1,300 guests and volunteers gathered to celebrate inspiring females and workplaces who are driving change.
“The whole Microserve team is honoured and excited to be included in this important event. Learning about the achievements of the amazing women and organizations in our community has been truly inspiring and humbling.” Says Michelle MacKay, Vice President of Operations at Microserve. “We believe strongly in the mission of the YWCA, and in working to advance equity for all people within our communities, including women, gender diverse, Two-Spirit, and others who face barriers to equity. We are committed to continuing to learn and advance our work in this area, as an employer and community member.”

Microserve was nominated alongside this year’s winner, Grosvenor, and fellow nominees The Dupuis Langen Group, Noel Asmar Group Inc, Open Door Group, Para Space Landscaping, Parq Vancouver, RBC Royal Bank, Scotiabank, Steveston’s Arts Connection, and Talk Shop. Congratulations to all the 2023 Women of Distinction nominees and award recipients on your well-earned recognition.
